🔫 Firearm Requirements

• You must bring an unmodified handgun registered to you. (only grips and sights may be changed).
• Semi-automatic pistols: Bring at least two magazines.
• Revolvers: Bring a speed loader.
• Rifle-caliber pistols are not permitted to be on your CCW. This includes .22 long rifle.

💥 Ammunition

• Bring at least 35 rounds of factory ammunition per handgun.
• Reloads or remanufactured ammunition are not allowed for safety reasons.

🎯 Holster Requirements

• If qualifying at The Gun Range (North Highlands):
No holster is required.
• If qualifying at Sac Valley Shooting Center:
An outside-the-waistband (OWB) Kydex or hard plastic holster is required.
No Serpa or leather holsters allowed.
A sturdy belt that fits your holster is also required.

🎧 Hearing Protection

• Noise-canceling earbuds are not permitted as hearing protection.
• Electronic earmuffs are recommended for safety and clear communication.
• Standard earmuffs or disposable earplugs are also acceptable.
• For maximum protection and clarity, the best combination is electronic earmuffs worn over earplugs.

🕶️ Eye Protection

• Indoor Range (The Gun Range): Clear or yellow lenses.
• Outdoor Range (Sac Valley): Tinted or yellow lenses; wrap-around styles are best.
• If you wear prescription glasses that are not wrap-around style, wear a hat with a brim to help protect against hot brass.

👕 What to Wear

• Avoid low-cut shirts — hot brass can fall inside.
• Wear sensible, closed-toe shoes suitable for potentially slippery or uneven range floors.
• Outdoor Range (Sac Valley): Avoid clothing with drawstrings near the waist (pants, underwear, or jackets), as they can get caught in the trigger guard while reholstering.
• Dress appropriately for the weather:
 – Indoor Range (The Gun Range): Dress warm in winter and cool in summer.
 – Outdoor Range (Sac Valley): Bring sunscreen, rain gear, or waterproof footwear as needed.

Gun Range:

💵 $26 range fee not included; pay directly to The Gun Range on qualification day.

🧾 What to Bring

Classroom:
• Government-issued photo ID (driver’s license, passport, or passport card)
• Expiring or expired CCW permit (for renewals)
• Pen/paper or laptop/tablet
• Fully charged smartphone

Gun Range:
• Government-issued photo ID (driver’s license, passport, or passport card)
• Unloaded, unmodified handgun(s) registered to you
• Case or range bag
• Two magazines for pistols and/or a speed loader for revolvers
• 35 rounds per firearm
• Eye and ear protection (available for purchase at the range)

⚠️ Safety Reminders

• Never bring firearms or ammunition to Round Table Pizza.
• Firearms must be unloaded with an empty chamber flag when brought to the range.
• Store ammunition separately from your firearm during transport.
